What MyLifeTides is

MyLifeTides is a software subscription. You enter your birth details once, and the app computes a BaZi chart (also called the Chinese Four Pillars) from them using a calculation engine that runs on our servers.

From that chart the app produces an algorithmically generated calendar: a daily forecast, a monthly and yearly outlook, and a view of longer timing cycles. Every piece of that calendar is generated by software from your chart data and the date. There are no human readers, no consultations, and no one-to-one services of any kind.

Paid plans also include an in-app AI feature that answers questions about your own chart data. It is a software feature built on a large language model, available inside the app on demand. Again: no human readers, no consultations, no one-to-one services.

What this software is for

MyLifeTides is for entertainment and self-reflection. Everything the app produces is informational only.

It is not financial, medical, legal, or psychological advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Do not make financial, medical, or legal decisions on the basis of what the app shows you.

The app describes timing and tendencies computed from a traditional system. It makes no claims about wealth, health, or legal results, and we make no promises about outcomes. What you do next is always your own choice.

Who may use the app

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the free features. The app asks for your birth date during onboarding and blocks account setup below that age.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a subscription. By purchasing, you confirm that you meet that age requirement and that the payment method belongs to you.

Your account

You need an account to save a chart and to subscribe. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the birth details you enter. The app computes from what it is given, so incorrect birth details produce a chart that does not match you.

Subscription, pricing, and billing

Premium Monthly costs $7.99 per month. Premium Annual costs $49.99 per year. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax or VAT that the merchant of record adds at checkout.

We do not offer a free trial. The app has a free tier you can use without paying, and a paid tier you can buy at any time.

Subscriptions renew automatically. Your card is charged at checkout, and then on each renewal date at the same price, until you cancel. Monthly plans renew every month; annual plans renew every year.

Payment is handled by our merchant of record, who acts as the seller of record for the transaction. We never receive or store your card number.

If we change the price of a plan, we notify current subscribers by email before the new price applies to their next renewal.

How to cancel

You can cancel at any time from the Account screen inside the app. Cancelling takes two clicks and does not require an email, a phone call, or a conversation with support.

Cancelling stops the next renewal charge. Access continues through the end of your current billing period, and we charge you nothing after that.

You can also delete your account entirely from the Account screen. If you have an active subscription, the app cancels it first, then removes your data permanently.

Refunds

14-day unconditional refund: ask within 14 days of any charge for a full refund. The full terms, including how to request one, are in our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service. In particular: do not resell, sublicense, scrape, or redistribute the output; do not attempt to reverse engineer or copy the calculation engine; do not use automated tools to overload the app or to bypass rate limits.

Do not use the app to harass, defraud, or profile another person, and do not upload unlawful content through the in-app AI feature.

Do not present the output to other people as professional advice, and do not resell it as a paid service of your own.

Misuse may lead us to suspend or close your account. Where a closure is our decision and you have unused paid time, we refund the unused portion.

Intellectual property

The app, including its text, templates, interface, and calculation engine, belongs to the operator named below and is protected by copyright and other laws.

The birth details you enter remain yours. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the output for your own private, non-commercial purposes for as long as your account is open.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. That includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app is uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate for your situation, and we make no promises about outcomes. Forecasts describe computed timing and tendencies, not statements of fact about future events.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunity, arising from your use of the app.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. When we make a material change, we post the new version on this page with a new last-updated date, and we notify subscribers by email before the change applies to their next renewal.

If you keep using the app after the new version takes effect, that means you accept it. If you disagree, cancel your subscription and stop using the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to sue elsewhere.

Who operates this app

MyLifeTides is operated by Tiger Orchid Studio (타이거 오키드 스튜디오), a business registered in Republic of Korea.
